Eugene and Paige's Wedding

So, over new years, my cousin got married in California and he asked if I would make his wedding cake. Of course I did, I mean who wouldn't want an excuse to go to California :)

This cake was different then I have done before. It was just one size. the bottom of the tier was banana bread, and the top was angel food cake. the cake stand

is a treasure that my friend Peter gave me when his family was cleaning out last year.
He knew I loved elephants so he asked
if I wanted it. I painted it and decided it would make a cool cake stand. and because my cousin is an Oliphant too..... he was pretty excited to use it :)

Hunter and Emilee's Wedding

This is my cake, this is what it looked like when I finished setting up. ...... not too exciting, but then when I came back for the reception.....It had been transformed into a beautiful creation.

I am constantly amazed by the power and beauty of flowers.
Even the simplest flowers are astoundingly gorgeous.

this is the detail on the sides of the cake.
The diamonds were on the middle layer, and the poka-dots on the top and bottom layers

Whitney and Brad's Wedding

This is my most recent cake. It was for my good friend Whitney (Redford) and Brad Billings. I used fondant and small gold dragees in groups of 3. There are red frosting beads around each tier. And gerber daisies in a side sweep on the left side.
